The Johnny Appleseed Campground in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a nice little campground run by the City of Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation. It is a nicely treed campground with 37 campsites, a conveniently located dump station, laundry facilities, and a community dog park very close by.

The Campground is part of the Johnny Appleseed Park in Fort Wayne, IN, which is home to the annual Johnny Appleseed Festival held every September. Why so much interest in Johnny Appleseed? The man famous for planting apple trees across America spent a lot of time here in the area and is buried at the park.

Campground Season

The Johnny Appleseed Campground is open May – October each year and closed during the winter. It is also not open during the Johnny Appleseed Festival which is held annually in September.
